giving back

humanitarian efforts

Join us for a unique wild game dining experience in the breathtaking Wildlife Center. You’ll enjoy gourmet wild game dishes from venison, elk, bison, pheasant, and gator from our private chef Jason.  For the months of January through March, you will start the evening with a 60 minute tour of The Wildlife Center.  After Dinner you will treated to a lighted snowshoe hike around Lengends Ranch’s beautiful 2000 acres.  Our April & May evenings will be with a nature walk before dinner, and will have a 60 minute tour of The Wildlife Center after.  For each event,  you will end your evening with hot chocolate at our covered fire pit.

On the evening of the event, you will meet our hosts at the wildlife center for a guided tour at 4:30pm to learn about animals from around the world along with conservation through hunting.  The Wildlife Center is home to over 3,000 taxidermy animals.  It is a 24,000-square ft facility with a bar area and a variety of games including pool, shuffleboard, and ping pong.  Remember to bring your own alcoholic beverages.

The Wildlife Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to expanding our mission around the world. The Wildlife Center’s mission is to instill core values for conservation and ethical hunting in youth and adults through education, advocacy, and leading by example. This is completed through a variety of education, hunting, and humanitarian projects. A portion of the costs for this fantastic event will go towards these mission projects:

1st-Time Hunt: The dedicated staff at Legends Ranch will take the first-time hunter and put them through an exciting day learning the basics of hunting; culminating in the shooting, harvesting and processing of a doe.

KidsLearn to Hunt: The Learn to Hunt w/Kids program is geared towards families with children from ages 8-17 who are eager to learn more about hunting and conservation.

Adult Learn to Hunt: The Learn to Hunt w/Adults program is a new program for 2023 with the same format as above but geared toward the adult who wants their FIRST whitetail harvest to happen at Legends Ranch.

Purple Heart Hunt: Each year several veterans, who have been awarded the Purple Heart, are selected to come to the world-renowned Legends Ranch for a life- changing hunt.

Youth Challenge Hunt: Each year, the devoted staff and attentive guides at Legends Ranch, assist youth with mental and/or physical challenges in harvesting a trophy northern Michigan whitetail.

Free School WLC Tours: We partner with all of the area schools to host annual tours of the WLC and our conservation curriculum to middle school students at no cost to the school.
